5 Reason why Boateng is Prince of Milan

Kevin-Prince Boateng is a phenomenon. The all-action, tough-tackling, midfield hard man possesses silky skills and lightning-fast feet that have made him a firm favourite amongst the fans of A.C. Milan. After plying his trade in the Bundesliga, the Premiership as well as playing internationally with Ghana he seems to have found his footballing spiritual home with the Milanese giants with dazzling form both in Serie A and in Europe.
We’ve all seen what he can do on the pitch, but what makes him so special is the man behind the role of midfield enforcer and the Italian Vanity Fair is featuring an in depth interview with the German-born footballer including stunning pictures of him wearing Dolce&Gabbana. Here are just a few reasons why we love Boateng – the Prince of Milan.
• He’s a dresser. Boateng is right a home with the most stylish football club in the world – A.C. Milan. The famous team is dressed by Dolce&Gabbana, but Boateng’s love of clothes goes way back. With an extensive wardrobe that would put any fashionista to shame he owns no less than 200 caps, 20 leather jackets and 160 pairs of shoes. He is quite the physical specimen at 6ft 1 and he certainly knows how to rock an Italian suit.

• There’s football in this man’s blood. He and his brother Jerome became the first two footballers to play on opposing international teams and be on the pitch at the same time at the World Cup in South Africa 2010, when Kevin–Prince turned out for Ghana and Jérôme for Germany. His other brother George is also a footballer, while his paternal uncle played for Ghana (known as the Black Stars) and his maternal Grandfather is a cousin of legendary German star Helmut Rahn, scorer of the winning goal in the 1954 World Cup Final.  With a pedigree like that you can be sure agents will be knocking down the Boateng door to sign his children before they’re even born.
• Boateng has adorned his body with 26 tattoos. That’s a lot of ink. But with his imposing physique he carries them off, even in a Dolce&Gabbana suit for a look that is ‘beauty and the beast’. He remains close to his roots and calls himself the ‘Ghetto Kid’ because he grew up in the tough Wedding neighbourhood of Berlin. Brought up by his mother who worked long hours to provide for Kevin-Prince and his brother George, Boateng is an example of triumph over diversity by simply doing what he does best and never compromising either on or of the pitch.
• The Prince of Milan is an entertainer. Whether with his explosive pace in midfield, audacious footwork or crunch tackling, Boateng is a fan’s favourite because he gives his all for the team. Not only is his style of football acrobatic but he can celebrate a goal with a stunning back flip. Acrobatics aside, Boateng has the moves. Just look at how he celebrated A.C. Milan’s Scudetto by donning full Micheal Jackson attire and dancing like the Prince of Pop himself! Not every footballer can do the Moonwalk.
• In case anyone forgot the danger he poses in front of goal, Kevin-Prince provided a timely reminder with a stunning goal against unbeaten Barcelona in their Champions’ League clash at the San Siro.
